Skidoosh!

23/06/2008

I feel like I owe some people some updates around here. It’s definitely been a while since I’ve posted anything meaningful. Okay, okay, comics don’t completely count. But adopting ninjas is a serious issue!

So lets get on with this, shall we? First of all, about half a year ago Alice sent me an email to join Twitter. At the time I definitely just skipped over it, but now that I’m finding that Facebook is more and more of a waste of my time and I can’t seem to keep this thing updated; Twitter actually makes sense! So more frequent and possibly more pointless updates there :)

Pink flower petals on a tree

Those flowers were really pretty — when they were around. This is now about a month old now. Yep, took me that long to get around to getting it from my cell camera to here! But it also makes a really nice cell phone background, maybe it’ll work well on the new iPhone?

A torrential downpour washes out the ground

We’ve been getting a lot of rain here lately. Which is really nice, especially when it’s been warm. If I had the time I’ve usually taken the opportunity to just go outside and bike around in the rain and through some puddles. It’s sometimes hard around here because you gotta find the puddles where the geese haven’t made a mess!

You know what\'s coming!

Yep, getting really used to clouds like that. It was just raining earlier and there was lightning, really high up though, the thunder takes forever to get to us.

In exchange for that we’ve been getting some fantastic sunsets. While I haven’t captured them all and my camera continues to be pretty much a failure in comparison to anything that’s actually a camera, I thought I’d still share some of them with ya — time flies by the way — these are over the length of a month that featured midterms, games upon games of volleyball and soccer, a bruised something in my chest and a walk in the Relay for Life.

It rained later that night

It was really, really awesome to just see it over the whole sky

Those were a rarity for a while. The sun just peeking out of the cloud.

And that’s about all for now. Say hi in the comments if you haven’t in a while! ;)

Hi in the comments if you haven’t in a while!

Nice shots, especially given that they were taken with your cell phone. I wish I had a Nikon D300 to take those kinds of pictures with. Unfortunately the iPhone’s camera isn’t quite as good as the W810i, as it lacks auto focus. I’m enjoying having a somewhat nicer camera during the few remaining weeks leading up to the iPhone’s launch.

July 11th can’t come soon enough.

Wait, I’ll be in the Czech Republic on July 11th.

The day I return from the Czech Republic can’t come soon enough.

Very nice peektures. I am forced to take pictures with my webcam (and thus take no pictures) since I have yet to purchase batteries for my camera.

Also will you be donning again in the Fall? If so, where?

Also I totally realized that I have 8 courses I can choose to take whatever I please with. I wish I would have known this sooner

Beautiful visuals! Feast of colours, especially appreciated by those who are surrounded mainly by beige.

@mujibar: haha, hi. Yeah, that cell phone continues to be the focal point of my life. New iPhone doesn’t have autofocus either does it? Think they kept the camera the same. Anyway, have fun in Czech Republic, I expect to see some videos and pictures out of that trip!

@Adam: webcam lol, drag your computer around. And yeah, I’m donning in MH in Fall and Winter. Also, take history of popular music.

    @Stella: Thanks : )

Why ever would I take the history of popular music? Also eww MH, you’re doing Velocity!

It’s okay. I’m patient, and lucky too lol! :D

I would also like to say that I’ve no idea what you mean about twitter. Clearly I would never shun you like that.
