The black guy that sees Peter when he travels to the past is Simone's dad. You knew that, right? One of the earlier episodes starts off with Peter telling him that he can fly, and he asks Peter to show him.

I was disappointed that Sylar didn't die. I think we needed that storyline to end so that we could get some fresh stuff next season. Perhaps Sylar's role will change significantly? I guess time will tell.

It wasn't the army that was holding that symbol; it was the lone rider. I think he must be related to Hiro somehow. It would just make sense.

I think the general consensus on why Peter didn't just fly himself up into the atmosphere is that he was too focused on controlling Ted's power to be able to use any of his other powers. I guess it makes sense.

One weird thing I noticed is that when Nathan lands right in front of his brother and Claire, he says, "There is another way." How did he know what Claire said? He was way in the sky when Claire said it. Does Nathan have super hearing now?

I would say the finale somewhat disappointed me, but now that I think about it, it did exactly what a season finale is supposed to do: keep you coming back for more. The grand finale we were all hoping for (and expecting) would be more appropriate for a series finale, but these guys are in it for the long run. The show has a long way to go, and we've only scraped the surface. Season one set up the premise of the show. Season two should be awesome!
